Hi Larry,

I am setting up two radio operation with IBM thinkpad 500, it has now 2 ser
and 1 par port.
When using paddle input on LPT1, pin 14 stays down, keyer goes
dit-dah-dit-dah.
Is pin 14 brought up by command through TR pgm? Or should +5V be hard wired
to the pin, or brought from outside to pull up the paddle contacts? Looking
at the LPT1 wiring, there seems to be gate that controls the pin 14, not sure
it is the standard on all computers/cards.

What is the best recommended setup with 2S 1P ports? Radio 1 interface and
(PTT+keying) on COM1 and Radio 2 intfc and (PTT+keying) on COM2 and keep LPT
for keyer and possibly gadgets?

TS870 has the "voice keyer" option - 4 messages. Any provision to control
them via TR?

Would be nice to be able to record real frequency like 1827.3 with QSO. Any
chance to have the ability to turn it on?

Little confusion with ver 5.98: program and manual say 5.97, your notes say
no ver. 5.97

Thanks for your terrific support!
