In preparation for tomorrows Wisconsin QSO party I installed my latest
release (6.37) of TRLog which now supports this contest (thank you Tree).
There are a few problems which fortunately have work arounds and won't
require a new release by contest time.
If you are in Wisconsin you need to rename the DOM file which came with
6.37 from WISQSOWI.DOM to WIQSOWI.DOM (take out the "S"). you also need to
add the line MY STATE = WI to your LOGCFG.DAT or WQP.CFG file. (Tree: The
automatic configuration setup routine does not ask if your in Wisconsin
like the other QSO parties either.)
If you are outside of Wisconsin you will need to rename the DOM file which
came with 6.37 from WISQSO.DOM to WIQSO.DOM, (again taking out the "S" from
WIS).
This contest in addition to the HF bands also allows QSO's on 6 and 2
Meters it is not clear to me that the program supports logging on these
bands for the contest. However one possible work around is to log the 6
meter QSO's as 17M and 2 meter QSO's as 12M. I have tried this and it
appears to score them as legitimate bands. You would have to do some post
contest editing but it does seem to work.
That's all there is too it
Hope to see everyone in the contest tomorrow. All bands (80M through 2M,
SSB and CW) from 1800Z Sunday till 0100Z Monday (Sunday evening)
