Thanks to all for the notes that DVP boards should work just fine. I guess I wasn't sure how many people were still using them.

Bottom line is it turned out to be connection error. I swapped a couple of grounds, and when I plugged the DVP output into the radio, it caused the problem. I didn't have it connected to the radio when I tried CT, since I just used the monitor function. Speaking of which, now I guess I have to figure out a way to monitor the thing, since my K2 doesn't have a monitor function. And, there seems to be a bit of RF feedback, but some beads and toroids will hopefully take care of that.

Tree: I could not get the hot keys to do anything even with changing the USE BIOS CALLS parameter. Are they supposed to work?

Anybody out there using a K1EA DVP board? Thought I'd try it out during field day. The board seems to work just fine under CT. When I run it under TR, the output audio level is very low. It seems like when DVPTSR loads, it defaults to minimum audio level. Alt-up arrow doesn't do anything (not that I expected it to), and I can't find anything in the manual that points to a hot key to increase the audio level.

Hmmm - I have not had that problem with mine. Is the audio level okay for either playback (previously recorded) or live?

You might be able to enable the hot keys by using the option to use
the BIOS for the keystrokes. I think the Control-J parameter is USE BIOS CALLS or something like that.
