   Hi Paul;

   Yes, my OMNI VI covered virtually all the Army MARS HF frequencies I needed
   (that was in Michigan, I haven't been on MARS yet here in Oregon). I
noticed
   that you are Air Force MARS so I am not exactly sure what your frequencies
   are. The OMNI VI has quite a bit of overlap on each end of the dial. This
   allowed me to work up to 4.030 MHz for those nets, and from 6.870 to 7.0 MHz
   for those nets. Actually 100% of my MARS activity was 4.0 to 4.030 MHz.

   Note: I am replying to you both direct and via the reflector. Hopefully
you
   will receive at least one of these.

   I just wanted to drop a note and let the folks at Ten Tec know how
much I
   appreciate their products, service, and support.

   I bought my OMNI VI back in mid 1992 - one of the first production runs

   was an attempt to get information on extending the transmitter range to
cover
   the 4 MHz Army MARS frequencies. After a couple of months of "more

   Reid;
Did you get the OMNI on MARS? I have been told it could not be done.

I am replying here because the system I am using will not go directly to
the internet. 1 out of 5 attempts may go through, but it will allow me to
access the reflector. Thanks, Paul WA9FFL (AFT3DU)
