Nothing to it. Just beg or borrow a rig with an accurate frequency
readout. I used an IC-706 calibrated against WWV. Use a 1 turn loop
connected to that rigs antenna input to act as a pick-up. Bring the loop
near the oscillator to be aligned and  make your adjustments. I've used
this method with near perfect results on two Omni-6's. No counter is
required.
