Hi all:
We have a customer in Nigeria who is seeking information on Magnus
Electronics, formerly located in Chicago, IL. Magnus, for a number
of years, was the exclusive foreign distributor for Ten-Tec amateur
radio equipment but we stopped using them for this a number of years
ago and have had no contact with them since at least 1990. Magnus
either manufactured or had "private-labeled" a number of crystal
controlled HF transceivers that the gentleman in Nigeria is trying to
obtain schematics and service information for but we have been unable
to locate any info. The last phone number and address we have is
3500 Devon Ave., Chicago, IL 60659, (312) 679-6070. This phone number
comes back as disconnected and Chicago directory assistance has no
listing. Our customer in Nigeria "thinks" they have moved a couple of
times in recent years but has nothing to back that thought up.
If you have service information for Magnus, or can provide any contact
information, we would be glad to have it to pass along to them. As
you can imagine it's a little tough to try to do this from Nigeria!
