The OMNI 6+ WILL reset RIT, filters, etc. but not while it is actually
transmitting. Just hold the clear or filter selection button a little
longer than usual and the command will take effect between the
characters being sent. I often do this when using a narrow filter to
check for nearby QRM while I am CQing. That way you can find out who is
eating your lunch 800-900 cycles above or below you.
