Keep in mind that Products are copied by different Countries, but they don't
copy the Service. Then again, you may not need to service a radio that will
be antiquated in a year, just buy the next model.
A real question would be what is the proportion of TT radio's needing repair
vs imported radio's, compared to how many are produced at each factory?
After answering that question you can determine the worth and necessity of
service.
My Omni only needed service once for a bad reed relay. The only time it went
back to the factory was for the full blown upgrade.
