Hello gang,
I just picked up a Omni 546D and would like to add 12 and 30 meters to
the radio. (Since the rig has a 9 Mhz IF, 17 meters would probably not
be a viable choice.)
After looking at the manual and opening the case to verify, it appeared
I needed to add inductors and capacitors for each of the above bands on
both the bandpass and lowpass filter boards. Twelve meters would of
course, also require a crystal.
I call to Garland Jenkins of Ten-Tec confirmed the above. He also
indicated that Ten-Tec no longer stocks the upgrade kits for this rig.
Does anyone have any suggestions of how to proceed, of the values of the
inductors/caps for each band on each board, etc.
