I know I run the risk of getting flamed big-time here, but I
gotta do it!
A couple of months ago, I commented that I was hearing clicks in
my headphones/speakers from my Omni VI+. Some said they heard
the same phenomenon; some said they didn't.
I have placed two audio files on my home page to let those
interested hear what I am hearing. The high resolution audio is
recorded at 44kb, 16-bit, while the low is recorded at 11kb
8-bit. Listen for the high frequency click after the key
elements.

I recorded them using WaveTable. I cannot see anything on
graphical display of the CW that indicates a click or any
noise/signal other than the baseband hum and the CW. No spike,
in other words.
Is this the sound some have heard?
If I record off the Audio Out (Line Out) jack on the back of the
Omni VI+, it is clean; the 'click' is not there.
I am going to look at the schematic and try to find where the
'click' may be coming from.
During contests, it is very distracting and bothersome to hear.
Any solution/cure for the 'click' would be appreciated.
