Hi Guys--
Here's the two step cleaning and lubricating process Ten-Tec used:
1. Clean the switch contacts and potentiometers with very sparing use of
Cramolin R-5 (came in a red can -- thus was called "Cramolin Red").
2. Lubricate the switch contacts and potentiometers with very sparing use
of Cramolin B-5 (came in a blue can -- was called "Cramolin Blue").
I'd bet my bottom dollar they still use the same stuff, but now it may have
a different name. keep in mind this was NEVER a one-step process!
And for you who don't believe WD-40 leaves a residue, ask any hunter who has
used it in his trigger mechanism only to have it freeze up when he tried to
drop the hammer on a large buck. WD-40 leaves a gummy mess after a couple
of applications. No disrespect to Steve, but I sure wouldn't want to get
one of those rigs he sprays with that stuff. . .
