I think it all boils down to the "silliness" of the English/American
language, the spelling, grammar, pronunciation, etc.  It's a mix of several
languages and uses the rules of Latin grammar.  Even though it is the
easiest language in which to express an idea, it is very difficult to learn,
even for us natives.  I have great admiration for those who learn it as a
second language.

replicate the sound of a word as the context will provide the meaning where
