A grounded grid linear is not easily tuned by plate and grid meters. Its
very easy to set up a tuning condition with almost no gain, but the
right DC readings. It performs far better if tuned for maximum output,
when you will find the plate and grid meters will show their proper
readings... Its worth watching out for excessive readings in either
while tuning however. But tuning for maximum output will always result
in performance unlike tuning by load and dip because there's so much
interaction between the output and input in the grounded grid amplifier.
