Agreed on that. The 1340 was my first construction experience. I learned a
lot, the Ten Tec mods reduced the T/R thump and I was off an running. Great
little rig. A joy to assemble and to operate.
Then... I just couldn't resist fine tuning it a bit more to my liking
(adjusting the AGC attack, reducing the side tone level lower than the
factory setup allows). Well, I did some sort of no-no down in there and now
all I have is a hundred bucks worth of parts sitting on the bench. It'll
either be a good trouble shooting lesson for me to fix it or a hundred
dollar lesson to keep my fingers out if it already works OK.
