Thanks to the many that have responded.

I had neglected to mention... Yes, I pressed the reset. It did no good. =
I have removed and replaced the lithium battery with a new one, with =
similar results. No, I have not had the rig long. It was given to me =
and had been out of service for a number of years and sitting. (That is =
why I replaced the battery).
I have access to a new IFR communications test set, and other good =
equipment suitable for calibration and alignment. I have a good bit of =
experience at alignment and repair of HF gear, but it is a little stale, =
as I have not done this kind of work to any extent for 25 years. I am =
certain that I can follow a procedure, if I have one for alignment. I =
am hoping that whatever is wrong will make itself apparent during a good =
tuneup.
So that is what I am looking for... Someone that knows the rig inside =
out and can coach me to do the alignment, or someone that has a copy of =
the procedure.
It would be nice to have a diagram with expected voltages and scope =
traces at test points. =20
If anyone has the technology, please give me an e-mail.
