Hi Barry:
I've had the Inrad 756 (2.4khz/10pole) filter installed in the first IF
of my Omni 6+ since March and have noted no RF gain feedback problems at
all during operation. I just rechecked per your suggestion both into a
dummy load and with the coax disconnected at the radio, and again, no
problems with audio whistles or anything. Most of my operation is cw and
I normally operate with the RF gain fully clockwise. I have been very
satisfied with the operation of the 756 and the other Inrad filters
(2.1khz/1st IF, 400hz/1st IF, and 250hz/PBT IF) that are in the Omni.

The 756 was originally intended to replace the fixed 9Mhz IF tx and rx
filter and not as an accessory filter, although there is no reason it
could not be used that way.

You might ask George to send out another filter to compare against.

Good Luck and 73,
Greg, K7KJ
