I have built a TAPR EVM-RI that I want to connect to my Omni-V and am
wondering if anyone out there has done this and has any tips on appropriate
connections. I'm sure I can figure it out from the documentation, but I
don't believe in re-inventing any wheels that I don't have to, so if anyone
has experience with this or something similar I'd welcome any advice.

For those who aren't familiar with the TAPR kit, it's a radio interface kit
for a Motorola 56002 DSP evaluation board. There is quite a bit of public
domain software available for this DSP board, and I managed to get the
Motorola EVM board for it for free. The TAPR radio interface kit with
chassis and lots of bells and whistles is about $150 (not including the DSP
board). So it ended up being a fairly inexpensive way to experiment with a
high quality DSP that I can get lots of free code for, and write my own code
for as well. You can get noise filters, PSK31, other modems, and lots of
other stuff for it from TAPR.

The radio interface kit has two radio channels that each have connections
for:
TxA
GND
PTT
RxA
CAT
Down
Up
Icom

Any suggestions about interfacing this to my Omni V would be appreciated.

Thanks

- Tom
