Now for a while I had both an OMNI V and a 930S. Like Keith, I found the
Ten-Tec to be a bit easier to listen to. During the time I had both, I found
it really hard to find the busy cw condx that should have let the T-T shine.
I personally found I enjoyed the OMNI a bit more (in spite of the
less-than-smoth QSK in split mode), though I knew I would miss some of the
930S features like the variable sidetone and audio bandpass filters. And it
was really a close call. My 930S had INRAD 2.1 SSB filters and a pair of
INRAD 400 Hz cw filters and (I think) an INRAD AM filter of some sort. Not
being willing to have one rig idle, I sold the 930S and accessories to
Keith's friend Frank in Vermont. Keith, is this perchance the radio you had
over the weekend?
