The D-104 is usually set up with a high impedance element and the Ten-Tec and most modern radios is looking for a low impedance, like a dynamic element. I had the opposite problem when trying to use an MC-50 mic on my Collins station. I went to theAstatic 10ADL dynamic element but it to already has a transformer and is set up to be a high impedence mic. WHen I tried it on my Kenwood and on my Paragon II, I got the same reports you did. Recommend you go with the Ten-Tec mic or other modern mic. 73 Rick N4ASX -- FAQ on WWW: http://www.contesting.com/tentecfaq.htm Submissions: tentec@contesting.com Administrative requests: tentec-REQUEST@contesting.com Problems: owner-tentec@contesting.com Search: http://www.contesting.com/km9p/search.htm |
