I had a similar experience Larry. I was 2 years old on December 7,
1941 so I don't remember much about that. But, I too remember VJ
day. My mother was getting me dressed when the sirens started to
blow and my mother started to cry.
"Mommy why are you crying?"
"Because the war is over!"
Yes thanks to those who gave it all so that we can enjoy the
prosperity of this wonderful land today.
