[TenTec] CW tuning

Hold down the cw button, and tune the radio signal
so that it's tone has the same pitch as the tone
generated by the cw button.  When the pitch is the
same on both signals, both radios are on the exact
same frequency.  The is called the zero-beat frequency.
The cw signal you hear from the other guy's radio is
750hz off  the beat frequency.  Both radios will transmit
on the same frequency.  If the 750hz tone is not desirable
to listen to, vary the RIT control to get the tone you like.
Don't use the tuning dial to get your desired tone, else
you will tune off the beat frequency.
