And I second that.
I suppose some people are just opposed to intellectually stimulating
conversations. Maybe it gives them a headache. :-)
This conversation has prompted me to reread Walt Maxwell's "Reflections"
series in the 1973/74 QSTs, as well as some of J. C. Maxwell's writings
(they're not related, are they?).
Plus, and here's the Ten Tec part, understanding these aspects of antenna
and transmission line theory as they apply to ham radio might just help you
get more out of your various Ten Tec rigs.
Personally I don't like contests or contesting but I don't try and stop
others from enjoying it or discussing it here.

TT sells manual and auto tuners and discussions like this will help those

reflector or am I going crazy reading all these posts about
balanced antennas and such. I know Ten-Tec has a 12
meter vertical for sale, you can hardly miss it. But all these
