For the last four months I have been using a B&W broad band folded
dipole fed with 50 ohm coax. The antenna feed point is at 30 feet and
the ends are a bit higher. The SWR varies from 1:1 to a little over 2:1
from 3.5 to 29.7 MHz. The OMNI 6 ( and CORSAIR II ) seem to be very
happy feeding it on any band but I do have a TEN-TEC 238 tuner in line
and can adjust it for a 1:1 match on any band if I want to take the time.
This antenna comes with it's own 12 to 1 balun and compares very
favorably with my Butternut HF-6V and Cushcraft R-7 with the advantage
that it is very broad banded.
Anyone interested in this antenna can check out the U.S. Patent.(
#4,423,423.) And I hope this is not too much off topic because it
compliments the features of my TEN-TEC station very nicely.

73 and a nice weekend to all,
Jerry K8JRO
