Gentlemen,

A month or two ago I posted a message on the list needing some help with
my Omni. One problem was with working sats like rs-12 and being able to key
the Omni and follow your sigs through the sat. That was the easy fix.

The other one was with the constant speeding up and slowing down of the
built in keyer. One fella told me that he had crossed the leads (inside)?
the rig with a capacitor and it really helped but I did not try that one.
The other man said TT had the fix for the problem. I called and they did
not have it or anything like that.

On the plus side I believe the Omni 6 is one of the very best cw rigs I
have used to date BUT I also believe that these little problems that seem
to constantly occur in the different rigs on here are un-called for. Like
it or not if a man put out the same amount of $ that a 6+ is bringing on a
Jap rig I believe you would be in for a big surprise.

Over the years I have had almost all of the TT rigs and back in the 544
and Omni-D days these things just did not seem to ever happen to the degree
they are now. Oh well, enough of this. I probably already have everyone's
flame machine lit up and ready.

I do wonder if anyone has come up with a fix on the keyer problem. My
Omni is in very good condition, was upgraded to + (opt. 3) at the factory,
and I have the matching 961 ps, the .250 and .500 cw filters and both the 2
and 6 meter xvtrs, all in very nice shape. Anyone out there have a high end
Jap rig for trade?? That would be a last resort but I have been thinking
about it. It would be hard to give up the quality of the Omni on cw which is
almost all I run. Thanks for listening to all of this and please, no one
take it personal.
