Jack,
If it was coming in through the antenna right through the case,
no Jupiter would work. They have to have RF there in order to
transmit! I don't think the problem is anywhere as bad as you
are infering. I have never had an RF problem with mine. I think
the Jupiter/Pegasus is a very well designed, extremely versatile
transceiver. If something happened to mine, I would replace
it in an instance with the same radio. Ten-Tec has done a
fantastic job with the versatile design in this radio. What other radio
can you name that had a speech processor, noise blanker, and
AM transmit added to it for absolutely no charge after you
purchased it.
