Did they say that was true even with the Heil ? Or just with the standard
TT mic?---THEY STATED THAT OVERDRIVE WITH MIC CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO
CIRCUITS, WHETHER ELECTRET OR DYNAMIC. BRAND NAMES ARE NOT THE ISSUE.

Too much audio may indeed distort, but damage ? If true, TT is no longer a
rig to buy.-----AGAIN NOT A BRAND ISSUE. OVERDRIVING A PREAMP (LIKE THE
MIC CONTROL) CAN DAMAGE ANY SUBSEQUENT AMP. BRAND DOES NOT MATTER.

Any body who does not use a mic properly configured for the rig needs to go
back to the novice class <gr>.---IT IS MY EXPERIENCE IN 30 YRS OF HAM
OPERATION THAT ANY CLASS OP CAN MAKE A MISTAKE, LET'S NOT THROW MUD.
