I believe the Delta 580 first appeared in late 1980. It was the first
entirely new Ten-Tec rig to include the WARC bands. The Omni D, Series C,
did come out somewhere around 1979. It was sort of a retrofit WARC rig, and
as you note, there were always some problems with mixer products.
