ken,
I am aware of the problem. It stems from over aggressive port controls I put
in to performance boost the software. The performance booster did the job!
However on XP and win2000 the boost actually overruns the Pegasus on fast CPUs
and eventually causes loss of handshake and data.
The bottom line is I have a fix working as I speak that runs on Win2000 and
98. It detects the OS type and dynamically adjusts the synchronization of
the TX and Rx handshake to prevent channel overruns. XP is in the same class
as Win2000 in its I/O. However my XP box is currently down so I am looking for
an XP volunteer?? I am currently testing Beta 2.7 on both 98 versions and
Windows 2000 and it is ruining fine.
