[TenTec] Jupiter software

Scott,

I have a Pegasus with a encoder knob and N4PY control software. Besides the
knob there are numbers, a period, and 3 function keys.

I set one function key so that the knob controls the frequency and another
function key so that the knob controls the volume. Going back and forth is
very easy and fast. I use the period for mute.

I do not enter numbers so I use some of the numbers for such entries as raise
and lower the filter width and raise and lower the frequency step size.

I like the feel of the knob and would not like to operate with just computer IO.

73,
Bob

Mark,

I like controlling the radio from the computer, but sometimes, I need to
change the volume quickly (like when the phone rings), and grabbing a knob
is MUCH faster than fumbling for a slider with the mouse. I also like a
KNOB for my VFO ... trying to adjust a VFO with a mouse is like trying to
peel M&M's.

If the Pegasus mode would just leave the VFO knob and AF gain available, I'd
be totally happy.

     Scott
