Now, ain't no xpert on SSB like Steve is, but I always thought the Ten-Tek's
sounded as good as whatever audio the other station was transmitting.
You've gotta understand that so many SSB people run compressun and them Hail
mikes that sorta narrow down that thar audio. Even a Ten-Tek cain't make a
silk purse outt'n a sow's ear. It's been a long time since I listened to
any SSB, though, and I've slept since then.

I second that emotion. I've had the Omni V, Paragon and two Omni VI's and
my conclusion is that the older TT rigs sound better on cw and none of
them sound very good on ssb. The cut off point for this hi-fi sound is
the Corsair. As Mike says, the Tritons, Omni and Delta 580 all have the
ability to reproduce cw through a wide filter with no distortion.
