Mike,

The Omni VI and VI+ are capable of doing both Iambic A mode and Iambic B
mode keying with the internal keyer.  The "B" mode adds a "dit".....Go to
the menu system and select menu "2".  The item you are looking for shows up
in the menu as I COdE, it will have either a letter "A" or "B" and I bet it
is set up for "B" mode.  Change it to "A" mode.  I think you will find that
the EXTRA dit will go away.

I have a sheet here somewhere that explains the difference in the Iambic A
and B modes, just can't find it right at the moment, which is normally the
case.  Try you menu option and see if the I COde isn't set up for "B" mode.

Hopefully, the extra dit is coming from the menu selection, at least that is
the easiest thing to correct.
