As for me, and I suspect I'm typical, I get great audio reports with my Omni
V (V.9).  I find my audio is best with the stock Ten-Tec 705 desk mic....
and I also use a Heil Pro Set with the HC-5 element in the boom mic and get
excellent audio reports as well.

I think most will reccommend usint the stock 705.... it's tried and true.
