I have owned all the permutations of the VI series... Either a straight VI with the factory OPT3 upgrade, or a VI Plus will work electrically the same... The only advantage of the VI Plus is the button arrangement on the front panel is a bit more handy than the upgrade VI... If you load it with the filters, you will find yourself not using the DSP much,,, I rarely turn mine on... You will be VERY happy with either model... Denny ... K8DO |
