Hi everyone:
When giving a report on DSP quality for a particular rig, it would be a big
help if everyone would say the mode being used to base the report on. To be
honest, I have tried the DSP on my Omni VI/3 on sideband and been
disappointed, preferring to use my 1.8 khz filter in the 6 mhz IF and PBT.
(My optional filter lineup is 250, 500, 1800 at 6 and 250 and 1800 at 9. I
almost never need the 9 mhz filters. All of mine are TTs.) So when I hear
that the Omni DSP is better than the Jup's I'm really surprised since the
Jup came along later and one assumes the technology advanced along the way.
My guess is you're all on CW or my DSP is defective but I have no way of
knowing if you leave out the mode.
