While waiting for hardware.......

Am passing time reading the .pdf version of the Orion
manual downloaded from the TT web site.

I have a Henry linear, so is not a QSK amp such as TT
sells. I would like to know two bits of info:

1. After CW key down, and the "get ready" signal is presumably
sent via the External T/R line from the Orion to the amp immediately,
how many milliseconds pass BEFORE RF exits the Orion
coax terminal??

2. The Orion manual then describes how to adjust the T/R
hold time after key up.  But does so in terms of percent;
factory default seems to be 20%...... of what??
So many milliseconds, or a percentage of a dit time, or ???

Anyone know answers to these questions, sure don't want
to be hot switching my linear inadvertently! That is having the
relays over there making/breaking while RF is flowing!

I had been using an Ameritron QSK-5 switch with my Omni VI+,
before selling it, and after, with my Pegasus. But the Ameritron
gadget just had too many problems keeping it going, so have
removed it and lost both QSK ability and my protection from hot
switching.

So, really would appreciate answers, if anyone has them.

73, Jim KH7M
