Hi Mike, I guess I expect people to trust a fellow ham too much. I personally
have never been burned (YET). On the other hand, I do not operate on the same
multi million dollar budget as Ten Tec Co. and cannot afford to offer their
kind of warranty.
I was just following the examples given on the auction site I'm not supposed
to mention. I WILL NOT sell a bad item unless I state it in the ad and price
it accordingly. The Tube warranty at RF Parts is original purchaser only, so
the only
way I can honor that is if the buyer goes back thru me to get it honored. I
also know there are buyers that will come back and say "You sold me a lemon and
X, Y, Z is
wrong with it when their operating errors are actually to blame, Tuning into
a mismatch, Not following the manual procedures etc. All the person has to do
is contact me and if it is determined that it is a flaw that I was unaware of,
or thru no fault of theirs, Then I will consider paying for Ten Tec to repair
it. The Trust factor works both ways. 73.
