I have seen a TT rig trip a TT power supply as the LDG was tuning.
Wonder if what you have heard is a result of not using a 'generic' supply.

I have heard that some rigs are experiencing blown out finals when using the
SGC tuners. Don't know if it is directly related to the tuner or not and it
may be just a coincidence.
I use two LDG tuners - the Z11 and the AT-11MP. Both are great. I bought
the optional balun and it tunes random wire (magnet wire) when I travel and
performs very well. I have not heard of any problems with folks using the
LDG tuners.

Subject: [TenTec] Tuner for the Pegasus
I recently purchased a Pegasus (my first HF rig). I want to get a tuner. I
not sure what is the best solution. I'm not sure what antenna's I'll be
using (in the process of selecting). On the tuner options I'm considering
the internal LDG PT-11P, the external LDG AT-11MP, and the SGC 239. All of
these seem to be about the same price, but the SGC has the option of tuning
balanced lines without a balun. Any recommendations?
Thanks for the advice,
Glenn
