Hi guys,

In consultation with Ken Hopper, N9 V V who started
the Yahoo group in February of 2002, we have
decided it is time for the Orion "specialty" group to stop.
It is best to have the info available about our favorite
Ten Tec rig to be made available to all on the "regular"
contesting.com Ten Tec mail list reflector. Just our
opinion, but we also feel that the separate Jupiter
and Argonaut-V reflectors should be "scrapped" as well.

The Yahoo group peaked in activity as the rigs were
being delivered for the first time late this past Spring
and into July of the Summer months, then has tailed
off save for the interest sparked just these past days
because of the "controversy" surrounding the use of
Yahoo as the group "host".

For our purposes, Ken's and mine, the Yahoo list has
served the original purpose: to be a place for all the
early questions/answers/speculation/likes/dislikes about
the new rig. Now it is time for a return to our roots, the
original Ten Tec list reflector.

The Yahoo list now has 370 subscribers; should anyone
believe it is important for separate lists to continue ( we
don't) suggest going, as has been suggested, to either
contesting.com or an eHam forum.

Thanks to those who contributed much early info and
discussion about the Orion. Continue the same on the
regular Ten Tec list, and all will be better served.

I will delete the Yahoo Orion Group at 2300 UTC today.

Thanks again and 73, Jim KH7M
