Craig, Here's another perspective for you.... I have had the ORION only for a short time. I have an ICOM 746 PRO. In just a few hours (PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE MANUAL..it's available on TT site) I felt pretty well at home with it. It is not many layers of menues and is quite easy to get around in. No, I'm not an expert yet, but with the help of a few great hams here on the list, I have learned a lot.
