funny that i have had problems with the Orion in the past...i am now
convinced all the problems i had were at my instigation ...have not had to
reset the Orion for several weeks now ...since i have learned to use the
radio i note it has the best receiver i have ever used, nicer than the
Collins 75S3B that i had thot was the best thing since sliced bread ...and
it did another wonderful thing last night: a fellow ham in VA needed UT on
CW 80 meters ...the storm that swept thru UT somewhat over a week ago took
out my inverted vee, broke one spreader on my heavy duty quad so i decided
to load the 30 meter loop if possible on 80. the contact was made (549)
feeding that 30 meter loop with coax, direct feed and the QSL is in the mail
to VA ...i could not even hear him on my other radio ...the tuner in the
Orion is super, it also will load the 30 meter loop on 40 ...
