Hello All,
I recently bought a near mint Omni V.9 off the reflector and
I'm thrilled with it........Why?
Having owned both Omni 6 Opt3 and a Omni 6+ they both had
digital hash on the upper
bands and sounded like a zipper when the VFO was tuned.
Well the first thing I checked
on the V.9 was this very problem and low and
behold.........Nothing, very clean!!! a few
birdies but nothing to be concerned about.
Now I know why this model has a good eHam reviews. I'm
really enjoying the radio albeit
10+ years old. It fits my likes and is a pleasure to use.
The only thing I don't like is the overly bright
display.........I find no dimmer.Oh well.
