Ken,  Try plugging a voltmeter into the 12v accessory RCA jack on the rear of 
the Omni.  Also fix a place to measure the voltage between the ps and Omni 
power jack.  When you key down the rig, check for voltage drop difference 
between the two points.  Should be no greater than half a volt.  If it is, you 
are loosing energy at the molex connector, fuse holder/fuse, and possibly the 
power switch contacts.   Prime  suspect is the molex connector where there is 
minimal metal  on the pins and socket, especially for running continuous power 
in digital modes.   LMK what you discover.
