David, It depends on what antenna you are using to listen on 160. It aslo depends on the matching device for that antenna. There are very few if any antennas that will maintain listening (or transmitting) peak accross the entire 160m band, but its not your rig, its the nature of the 160m band. Before you go tweaking the xcvr, you'd better have proper test equipment, ie an oscilliscope and know how to read rf voltages, lest you tweak your rig right out of the ballpark, 160m wise and otherwise. |
