Duane,
I can confirm that the standard Heil TT cables are not wired that way. I have 
had mine apart. Unfortunately in the case of the Heil Goldline a Mod inside 
the Mic is also required to have the Mic case, cable shield and Mic connector 
connected to the Orion chassis instead of pin 1 (circuit ground)

I haven't done it yet, but I need to as I get rf feedback on 10 mtrs wih the 
amp on,
