Also, I do object for all the reciever modes/setup/whatever being transferred to the sub receiver. I want to set up my sub receiver the way I want and only have its frequency change when I push the A>B button.

Since the Orion is NOT endowed with unlimited memory
space, I would think there are memory constraints to
consider in storing more user configurable option
pipedreams.


So let me get this straight. You'd actually object to
bandwith and AGC being transferred along with mode? You prefer to end up with 500hz/fastAGC in USB (if
your subreceiver had been previously set for cw) or
2.4KHz/slowAGC in cw (if your subreceiver had been
previously set for SSB)?


If you need to give some user configuation, I think a
simple yes/no suffices: when I push A-->B, either
leave my subreceiver alone (No) or make my subreceiver
mode/BW/AGC/PBT/whatever just like my main receiver
(Yes).
