This discussion is really not appropriate for TenTec, but Mr. Gates didn't buy the OS, he STOLE it; he met with IBM, realized what they needed, and that he didn't have anything but the Basic compiler, but knew of Q-DOS, then selling for $5.00 a copy, flew to Seattle, bought the OS for $70,000, without telling the owner/developer of the IBM offer. An honest man would have suggested a partnership with the creator, and would have shared the wealth. Barry, W5GN |
