In QSK mode, EVERY dit and dah is the first dit! So in that case, you read
it right.
And it chops 30% at just 40 wpm.
Also, there is no provision for keying a QSK linear (at any speed).

I read this as chopping all dits 30%, not just the first one. Typical Icom
and of course the keyer has the fake weighting adjustment which is really
ratio so you can't compensate for it. Just buy the 7800 and use your MFJ
keyer!
