The original post said "the majority of cw ops prefer QSK"
Which I still hold is far from correct.
There is life outside TenTec, and the average YaeComWood does not
have acceptable QSK...without a relay clicking away.
Nor does the average SB220 or TL922....at all.

Difficult to know how many CW ops use QSK (on a non-contest basis).

In 50 years of being on the air I have met some fellas that have purposely
told me they don't like QSK. Some quotes.....

I LIKE TO SEND more than receive.....
I do not like to be INTERRUPTED.....
I can't stand the NOISE BETWEEN CHARACTERS... ( hey, turn down the rf gain...) :-)

and a few other less noteworthy ones.....

....and some of these guys even used TT gear!

I always liked these fellas, despite the fact they would "break" me but I could
not "break" them....... :-) Glad each of us is different, or it would be mighty
boring not learning anything new....

An educated guess would say that 25% use it all the time, just judging from the
fact that they comment about "tuner-uppers" that are at that moment testing,
or stop sending when I accidently bump my mobile CW key.

Of course, newcomers and dabblers (at CW) generally are not at the point
where they can appreciate QSK and goodness knows, we sure don't want
to confooze them by interrupting... :-)

Guess we should start asking, "QSK?" prior to launching into our usual
"old buzzard" transmissions, eh? Might even provide another topic of
conversation!
