Austin radio clubs used them for several Field Days some years back from
1996.

They were 10 waves at 10m legs over a football field.   They are only good
for FD if low, like 15 feet high.  Later tried 30 ft. and they skipped out
as a DX antenna!

2 wave minimum leg length can work with less gain of course.
Handbook and Antenna Book have info on them, (ARRL).

More of a DX point to point antenna although bi directional if unterminated.
Can be terminated by a quarter wave grounded wire or non inductive resistor
to ground rod.
