Paul,

I don't have a Paragon II, but I have used OMNI VIs. That rig is
said to emulate an Icom 735. That is, the basic instruction
set for controlling frequency is similar to that of an Icom 735.
But, the same thing is true for an Icom 765 or 781 for that matter!
What changes is the default ADDRESS of the rig. The OMNI VI has the
ability to choose your address to be anything you want it to be.
For that matter, the Icom rigs let you change the address as well
for use in daisy chaining them on one rig control line. Perhaps
you need to check out the instructions for your logging software.
TRLog lets you change the address to be anything you want for
Icom and TenTec radios. TRLog and the OMNI VI understand each
other regardless of whether you call the rig an IC735, IC765 or
OMNI VI in the TRLog setup provided you properly match the rig
address setting at both ends.
